The inflow of relief goods in different colors and sizes of plastic bag is badly needed, however, the bags can also make the situation worse as this can clog canals and add up to the tons of non-biodegradable garbage posting as a major problem for the affected communities in Metro Manila, Bulacan and Pampanga.

Many of the areas affected by the typhoon are still submerge in dirty water while today (October 2, 2009) the Phil president declared the Philippines under State of Calamity yet another super heavy typhoon is about to land in many part of the Philippines to affect more areas and ad damage to the already devastated areas. Over crowded evacuation centers don’t have lights, clean water and safe fire to cook food (worse they do not have bathrooms).

Many more are hungry and getting sick, sadly their number is increasing everyday…..

Please join us in feeding the victims with hot and healthy “Eco-Food Packs” using banana leaves. As we get more support from the public we will brave the heavy rains to deliver hot meals made of “rice and adobo along with drinking water and fruits” to some of the affected areas. We will also provide emergency pouches to many families packed with alcohol, peroxide, soap, q-tips, pain reliever, anti-diarrhea, and penicillin ointment. These are very much needed in addition to food and clothes. Each meal will cost a dollar or P50.00 while the emergency pouch will cost $5.00 or P250.0.
